One era ends, and another begins. Rivals will clash for the final time, new champions will be crowned for the first time ever, and legends will meet to send off the pre-brand split era in fantastic fashion. The world changes forever tonight at the Big Bang - don't miss it for anything below the break.
1. WCW National Openweight: Matt Hardy defeated Ken Shamrock, Chavo Guerrero, Power Warrior, and Tajiri in a 20:00 championship scramble to become the first National Openweight champ. Hardy last pinned Chavo with a Twist of Fate.
2. WCW United States Heavyweight: Nova defeated Mike Awesome in 7:37 with the Spin Doctor to make his first defense of the United States championship.
3. WCW International Tag Team: Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray & D-Von) defeated Jung Dragons (Jimmy Yang & Kaz Hayashi) and First in Flight (Billy Kidman & Shane Helms) in a 10:44 TLC match to become the first International tag champs.
4. Hulk Hogan defeated Dusty Rhodes with the leg drop in 5:53 to win a once-in-a-lifetime encounter. Though short, the match was genuinely electric and main event caliber. It will most likely go down as the last great performance of Dusty Rhodes's career.
6. Lance Storm & Chris Jericho defeated Steve Corino & Carl Ouellet in 9:56 after Storm pinned Corino with a Super Kick.
7. WCW Brass Knuckles: Tommy Dreamer defeated Sabu in 8:26 with a Spicolli Driver through a table to retain the Brass Knuckles title. This was Sabu's sendoff, as he left the company the next day.
8. Goldberg defeated Scott Steiner in 6:27 with a Jackhammer. This was another main-event quality match where both men impressed.
9. WCW World Television: Adam Castle won an 11:43 battle royal for the vacant television championship.
10. WCW World Tag Team: Scorched Earth (Brian Adams & Bryan Clark) defeated the Hart Foundation (Christian Cage & Chris Benoit) in 11:37. The finish came when Benoit turned on Christian after a very minor miscommunication, allowing Adams & Clark to hit him with Trial by Fire - their devastating double chokeslam.
